Geezer rock ..💩
Pinkpop 1981!!! I was there!!
Cozy actually was a musically better drummer then John Bonham
Supergroup ❤❤❤
🥲🥲🥲R.I.P.
La edad de oro del heavy metal. Sin duda alguna. A la altura de Rainbow.
Too much power in hands! R.I.P Cozy!
Literally a thundering machine woh. I love Cozy Powell Rest in pace ❤🩹🙏
Would love to see you give the opening to Stargazer by Rainbow a go. Cozy Powell was a monster.
Was this the US Festival in 1983?
Pink Pop Festival June 8, 1981, Geleen/Netherlands (btw in 1983 this line up didn' t exist anymore)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Never forget the contribution that Paul Raymond made to the MSG sound. RIP Paul.
Legend
Priceless
Cozy RIP 💕
Schenker always looked like he was trying to take a dump during solo's...Bent over and pushing...

I like a lot of different genres of music, but for me this is one of the best songs ever, I so desperately want to learn this one but first I need to learn double pedal 😂😂🤣
Can't find a single live version of this song with Cozy where they play Stargazer with this drum intro. It's always baffled me
Let's not forget he was once the driving force for Jeff Beck.
I like how in tune the bass player is with cozy....,. I'm sure he wouldn't have him up there if not. R.i.p.
Chris Glen on bass, former member of the Alex Harvey Band!
It isn’t about how “hard,” or technical, the piece is to play. Does the intro fit with the song? Was it something original for that particular time? How is the delivery? Does it inspire? Cozy Powell checks all those boxes and delivered them with amazing power and feeling that came to inspire generations of future drummers. Sure, it’s cute to watch UA-cam videos of an 8yo kid replicating a drum track. - But those videos are nothing more than a compliment and a testament to the greatness of the artists’ work, who continue to inspire all these years later.
exactly... once you can play any instrument so well, your skill just flows...
So clean.
Guitarrista GENIAL
Buena banda todos juntos
Cozy Powell!
. . . Nelson do Brasil !!!
Danke

Amazing drummer
One of the greatest drum intros ever! Fantastic foot job
Maybe in my next life..lol!
Powell, keit moon e john bonham..
Sitting really low!
The 81 MSG album is a underatted rock album. Cozy is great on it.

Thank you
not that hard folks. Instead of a triplet he does a quadruple. What Ian Paice does at the beginning of Pictures of Home is a triplet. I actually think Paice's intro is a little more difficult to pull off. Also, listen to the end of Purple's Flight of The Rat. Paice was a master at triplets. Easy on the hate fellas, Cozy is one of my favorite hard rock drummers.
Cozy was awesome!
I just deserved my subscription with this video
what can he do on a single kick set?
Missing from the video is the massive amounts of bass drum involved in fattening those fills. Cozy was the most bass drum forward drummer of his era.
it's like he's teaching advanced class on how to beat shit out of drums...
Show me Bonzo ever playing a pattern close to this
bro you must asking Howard Stern
Cozy was a new generation kid and hence supposed to be "better" ie. more advanced, I guess.
Cozy Powell "destroy that cymbal?" Looks really skinny here!
Know what your saying, but he was never fat was he.Coolest drummer who ever lived😀
I fkn love Cozy... so relaxed but powerful. Lol who comes to a video like this and then tries saying some other drummer is better? Get a life.
Chris Glen rocks r.i.p.
Mistaken you seem. Chris Glen, here on bass, is alive and well. R.I.P. may relate to Paul Raymond (rhythm guitar here) who sadly passed away recently.
Cozy makes it look so effortless! Greatest drummer
Why this kinda edited shit? After Cozy had played, a 12-year-old kid plays exactly the same intro and Cozy is amazed and gives that kid a huge credit with applause! So kind was he to everyone. What a nice man. Here's unedited clip. Kid plays at 3:50 ua-cam.com/video/51QgQYIW-wY/v-deo.html
Can you find the unedited version cause I want to see that
Met Cozy and he was indeed a very very nice guy. Utterly genuine and sincere. Still a huge loss after all these years and so much potential
